Organizations of all sizes, coming together for a large purpose.

St. Joseph County Public Library is a county-wide library system in South Bend, Indiana with 11 branches and hundreds of staff members. Casa Santa Ana is a small contemporary art center in Panama. Te Manawa Museum of Art and History is a mid-sized organization in New Zealand with a diverse team of more than 40 people. Our members have joined the network with different stories to tell, different backgrounds and missions, and different needs and hopes for the communities they serve. But they all joined with a common purpose to make good on their commitments to become more relevant, equitable, and inclusive to more people. Today, about 70% of our members fall within the $100,000-$2,000,000 budget tiers.

More than 34 global sectors learning from and with one another.

Our members represent a diverse cross-section of sectors from civic and cultural organizations like non-profits, governmental agencies, university departments, and others. Currently, our member sectors include: libraries, museums, parks and gardens, cultural and heritage centers, the arts, media, theatre, music (chorus, opera, and symphony), science, interdisciplinary creative placemaking, land conservation and nature, arts council, philanthropy, and more. We even have a co-working space!

Our members are grappling with hard questions around what relevance, inclusion, and equity really look like in meaningful and sustainable ways.

As we, like other museums around the world, have closed our doors in the name of public health, we are taking time to look inward and grapple with the core questions of our institution. What are the priorities of our museum? Who are we currently serving? Who is left out?
